Chinese Two-part Allegorical Sayings

“The mud bodhisattva crosses the river-it is hard to protect itself”. When the first half is spoken, the second half and meaning can be guessed.Such sentence is called XIE HOU YU ( 歇后语 )-Chinese Two-part Allegorical Sayings.

‘Ní púsàguò hé-zìshēn nánbǎo’. Zài hànyǔ zhòng yǒuyī lèi jùzi, tā fēn wéi liǎng bùfèn, tōngcháng shuō chū qiánbàn bùfèn,“xiē” qù hòu bàn bùfèn, jiù kěyǐ cāi chū jùzi de běnyì, zhè lèi jùzi bèi chēng wèi xiēhòuyǔ.

‘泥菩萨过河-自身难保’。在汉语中有一类句子,它分为两部分,通常说出前半部分,“歇”去后半部分,就可以猜出句子的本意,这类句子被称为歇后语。

什么是歇后语(Chinese Two-part Allegorical Sayings / XIE HOU YU )?

Xiēhòuyǔ shì hànyǔ lǐ yī zhǒng duǎnxiǎo fēngqù de yǔyán xíngshì.

歇后语是汉语句子里一种短小风趣的语言形式 。

 

Xiēhòuyǔ yībān jiāng yījù huà fēnchéng liǎng bùfèn lái biǎodá mǒu gè hányì, qián yībùfèn shì yǐnyù huò bǐyù, hòu yībùfèn shì yìyì de jiěshì.

歇后语一般将一句话分成两部分来表达某个含义,前一部分是隐喻或比喻,后一部分是意义的解释。

 

Zài yīdìng de yǔyán huánjìng zhōng, tōngcháng shuō chūqián bànjié,“xiē” qù hòu bànjié, jiù kěyǐ lǐnghuì hé cāixiǎng chū tā de běnyì, suǒyǐ chēng tā wèi xiēhòuyǔ.

在一定的语言环境中,通常说出前半截,“歇”去后半截,就可以领会和猜想出它的本意,所以称它为歇后语。

 

Xiēhòuyǔ yě jiào qiàopíhuà, kěyǐ kàn chéng shì yī zhǒng hànyǔ de wénzì yóuxì.

歇后语也叫俏皮话,可以看成是一种汉语的文字游戏。

 

Xiēhòuyǔ shì yóu láodòng rénmín zài rìcháng shēnghuó zhōng chuàngzào, yōumò fēngqù, nàirénxúnwèi, jùyǒu xiānmíng de mínzú tèsè hé nóngyù de shēnghuó qìxí.

歇后语是由劳动人民在日常生活中创造,幽默风趣,耐人寻味,具有鲜明的民族特色和浓郁的生活气息。
